During the WTA Tour Premier tournament in Tokyo last week, Gisela Dulko made an appearance at a special TECNIFIBRE event commemorating the introduction of the Rebound Pro range in Japan.
Special clients of our Japanese distributor (Bridgestone Sports), as well as Tecnifibre fans of all ages came to the event to have their pictures taken, momentos signed, ask her questions and of course to hit some balls with Gisela. All in all, a successful day for Tecnifibre!
The women's tour moves onto Tokyo for the Toray Pan Pacific Open, a $2million Premier 5 event. Nine of the top 10 players are here playing this tournament, making this one of the highest level tournaments in the world.
Tecnifibre contract player Gisela Dulko (Rebound-Pro; X-One Biphase) marked her appearance in this tournament by crushing Hungarian Agnes Szavay 6-3 6-0 in her first round match on sunday.
Her next match will be on tuesday.
Fernando Verdasco suffered but is still alive in the US Open after a 5 sets win over german T. Haas 3/6 7/5 7/6 1/6 6/4 and won't face A. Roddick as averybody thought but J. Isner to get his place for the 4rd in NYC for the first time.
Gisela Dulko keeps feeling great in NY. Our best female player qualifies for the 1st time in the 4th round after a 6/3 6/4 win over Y. Shvedova. Gisela is facing K. Bondarenko tonight.

The 4 Tecnifibre players who played yesterday at Wimbledon won their match and reached second round. Great perofrmance for K. Vliegen who beat grass specialist N. Mahut the day of his birthday, after a big fight. Happy Birthday Fly! Denis Istomin is playing today.

Tecnifibre organized a press conference last saturday near Roland Garros for journalists from all over the world who wanted to know more about the values of the brand and players' material. Fernando Verdasco, Marcos Baghdatis and Gisela Dulko were there to talk about it. Some good young players under contract have played with the pros after the interviews. Two of the Tecnifibre players advanced yesterday to Roland Garros 2nd round. Gisela Dulko and Fernando Verdasco didn't have any problems to win their matchs. Spaniard guy defeated frenchman Serra in straight sets 6/2 6/1 6/4 while Gisela upset austrian Paszek 6/1 6/3.
