British Junior Open: M. El Shorbagy for the third consecutive time

Having won the U15 and U17 in the last two years, TECNIFIBRE player M. El Shorbagy was favourite to make it a hat-trick this year and despite the best efforts of France's surprise finalist Grégoire March, he duly fulfilled those expectations.

The frenchman led 6/4 in the first but was never ahead again, but threatened in the second when he pulled back from 7/2 to 8/7. The egyptian put a crosscourt wide of his opponent to double his lead, and in the third treated the crowd to the full range of his explosive shot-making.

Three titles already, and he's not seventeen until next week - not many would bet against another two miniature Drysdale cups making their way to the Shorbagy household...

Dear Tecnifibre squash fans,

After our visit to the SEA Games in Bangkok, Thomas and I flew to Tokyo over the weekend. On sunday, we visited a squash tournament, "The 5th Tipness Open Squash Championships" organised by our TF squash distributor in Japan.

We met our national contract players (pictured here with Mr. Makoto Saito, our squash distributor) who were playing in this event.

5 of these juniors (Taiki Kaido, Masanari Hishinuma, Tomotaka Endo, Naoki Hayashi, Marin Katsumata) will be playing in the U15 and U13 events at the British Open in Sheffield, UK next month.

Irish Junior Open 07: Ashley Davies is the new champion

Ashley Davies won the under 13 Irish Junior Open in Dublin at the weekend. He beat Luke Willemse the South African No 1, 3-0 in the 1st Rnd, 9-7, 9-6, 9-2.

In the 2nd Rnd he beat the Czech Jan Fiala the 3/4 seed, 3-0, 9-0, 9-0, 9-0.

In the semi final he beat Michael Craig from Ulster, the No 2 seed and No 6 in Europe, 3-0, 9-5, 9-1, 9-1.

In the final he beat Matt Bedwell, (who had beaten the No 1 seed David Ryan, from Ireland, 3-2, 5-9, 2-9, 9-2,9-2,9-2) 3-0, 27-0.

Next tournament British Junior Open, but he has 2 under 13 National Squash before then.

Croatian National Squash team with Tecnifibre

The Croatian squash team performed pretty well at the "European Nations Challenge Cup" in Latvia (october). They finished in 4th place overall. Congratulations to them!!!

Le forfait de ce dernier ouvre la porte à une redite du British Open : Thierry Lincou et Gregory Gaultier pourraient se rencontrer le dernier jour s'ils ne subissent pas le sort de PTC. Les qualifications démarrent vendredi et le premier tour le 25 novembre.
