Janko Tipsarevic reached the R16 at Miami Masters Series tournament after a 6/4 6/4 win over swedish J. Johannson. Our serbian player, who defeated F. Verdasco in the second round is facing M. Janko-Federer: end of THE AO 2008 match

Men's No.1 seed Roger Federer has endured from a five-set thriller against determined Serbian Janko Tipsarevic, prevailing 6-7 (5-7) 7-6 (7-1) 5-7 6-1 10-8 in an extraordinary third round match at the Australian Open.

Federer dropped a set at Melbourne Park for the first time since the 2006 Australian Open final, when Tipsarevic produced the shot of his life on set point during the opening tie-breaker. His cross-court backhand winner left Federer flat-footed and trailing a match at this venue for the first time since Marcos Baghdatis took a one-set lead in the 2006 decider.

Tipsarevic was even more determined in the second set, failing to concede his serve despite Federer having five opportunities to break him. But the three-time champion didn't give the world No 49 a look-in in the tie-breaker, winning it 7-1.

Janko upset Fernando, Istomin enjoyed against Hewitt

Janko Tipsarevic upset Fernando Verdasco in the second round of AO 2008. Serbian reached the third round after a big fight and a three sets win over spanish Tecnifibre player 7/5 7/6 7/6. Janko is facing Roger Federer friday on the Rod laver Arena.

Other Tecnifibre player played last night against local idol Lleyton Hewitt. Denis Istomin, from Ouzbekistan played a good match before being defeated in four sets, 7/6 6/3 5/7 6/1.

Australia was surfing on a red wave last night in Melbourne...

 

Australian Open day 2: There will be THE TF match...

 

F. Verdasco and J. Tipsarevic, both under contract with Tecnifibre are facing each other in the second round of the AO 2008. Our spanish player upset frenchman T. Ascione in three sets while Janko was fighting against Wild Card player J. Surianni for a five sets win.

The winner of the Tecnifibre match will probably face number 1 in the world Roger Federer on the Rod Laver Arena...

Australian Open: Tecnifibre diary in Melbourne...

First day at the Australian Open in Melbourne and first victory for Kristof Vliegen with a 6/0 6/1 7/6 win over frenchman Olivier Patience. He's facing Igor Andreev in the second round.

Today, F. Verdasco, J. Tipsarevic and G. Dulko begin their tournament.

When Janko Tipsarevic works for the TF promotion...
