Debate: Difficult beginning of season for the Team: What's the problem?

The results of TF players since January are not as satisfying as we would like. A disappointing Australian season, no victory in Zagreb, and still two eliminations in the first round yesterday in Marseille. Viegen and Verdasco victories last weekend in Davis Cup have been the only satisfactions of the new season.

How could we explain these results? Are our players well prepared? Is the ATP level so difficult?

Davis Cup: Magic Fly !!!

Belgium-Australia: 3/2

TF player Kristof Vliegen launched Belgium into the quarterfinals of the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas on Sunday, providing the finishing touches for a 3-2 first round win over Australia with a 6/4 6/4 6/4 victory over Chris Guccione.

Kristof, ranked 41st in the world, won the first and last rubbers of the weekend tie to send the 28-time champion Australians crashing out.

"It was a tough day with a lot of emotions," said Vliegen, "I had to go out and do my best, I did my job. "My heart was on the court and that helped a lot. I put a lot of pressure on him and he made mistakes. One break per set was pretty amazing, that's what we wanted."

Davis Cup: Belgium vs Australia

This week-end Fly plays Davis Cup against Australia in the Country Hall in Liège, Belgium.

Fly is playing the opening match against Lleyton Hewitt this afternoon at 1:30pm.

Olivier Rochus will face Chris Guccione in the second one.

Belgium team: Kristof Vliegen,Olivier and Christophe Rochus, and Dick Norman

Australian team: Lleyton Hewit, Chris Guccione, Paul Hanley and Peter Luczak

Fly et l'Australie c'est fini pour cette année ! Au programme ! Retour au pays afin de se ressourcer !

Comme je vous l'avais dis dans mon post précédant Kristof éprouvait des difficultés lors de son premier tour et il n'a malheureusement pas réussi à se qualifier pour le second tour vu qu'il a perdu ce match 7-5, 2-6, 2-6, 4-6. C'est dommage mais bon ce sont des choses qui arrivent!

 

Néanmoins il est toujours présent en double, associé à un autre belge, Olivier Rochus. Ensemble ils se sont qualifiés pour le deuxième tour en battant la paire Garcia/Prieto au prochain tour ils affronteront la paire Kubat/Marach !

Bonjour à tous !

Coucou à vous tous,

Je suis nouvelle dans l'équipe je me présente je m'appellle Stéphanie j'ai 19 ans et je suis belge.

Je vais donc me charger de vous donner des nouvelles le plus souvent possible sur le joueur belge Kristof Vliegen.

Il joue actuellement le premier grand chelem de l'année, l'Australian Open à Melbourne ! Il est en train de jouer son premier tour et épprouve des difficultés pour l'instant il est mené 2 manches à une !!!

Cette année il a déja joué 2 tournois (Doha et Auckland) à Doha il a perdu au premier tour quand à Auckland il a atteint le quart de finale espèrons qu'il va passer son premier tour à l'Australian Open si c'est le cas il affrontera le n°2 mondial Rafael Nadal.
