Stéphane Houdet lost in the Australian Open final sunday against world n°1 S. Kunieda in two sets 6/2 6/4. It was the first Grand Slam final for our Tecnifibre player who seem to be in a great mood fo 2009.
Stéphane is a bit upset after this final he wanted to win but for sure he's gonna play a big season with his new T-Fight 320 V02 Max racquet.
S. Houdet, our new olympic champion came at Tecnifibre office to celebrate his gold medal with Tecnifibre employees (here on the pic with T. Maissant CEO). Nice for all of us to touch an olympic medal ! Congratulations one more time to Stéphane and good luck for the next season !
Stéphane Houdet is still celebrating his olympic medal. The Tecnifibre player has been welcomed in "L'Elysée", where french president N. Sarkozy has congratulated all the paralympic french champions.
Tecnifibre player Stephane Houdet of France is the new doubles olympic champion. He claimed the title with his friend Michael Jeremiasz. The two french guys beat Stefan Olsson and Peter Wikstrom of Sweden 2-0 to win the gold medal of the Men's Doubles Open of the Wheelchair Tennis event during the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games on September 15, 2008.
We are really proud of Stéphane and congratulate him for this beautiful gold medal, the first of Tecnifibre history...

Our best wheelchair tennis player, frenchman Stéphane Houdet played on Miami centre court last week just before the semi-final between A. Roddick and N. Davydenko. An amazing memory for our player who said that he was really happy to make people discover wheelchair on a big court like this. It was an exhibition to promote this sport in USA. Thank's to Stéphane for the pic he sent to us and we wish him the best for his next tournaments.
Stephane Houdet, n°3 in the world won for the first time the France Championships. He's the new leader of the french team, playing with Tecnifibre racket and strings.

Le joueur Tecnifibre Stéphane Houdet a été sacré champion de France 2007 de tennis handisport. Il devance l'inévitable Mickael Jeremiasz et deux autres joueurs TF, Frédéric Cataneo et Nicolas Peifer.
Ce classement récompense la belle saison de Stéphane, aujourd'hui n°3 mondial, et vainqueur à deux reprises du n°1 cette année. L'ensemble de l'équipe Tecnifibre le félicite et continuera de le suivre en 2008 avec un objectif majeur, les JO de Pékin cet été.

La première fois que j’ai entendu parler d’Utrecht, j’étais encore sur les bancs de l’Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Nantes. Les étudiants hollandais de l’université d’Utrecht venaient souvent faire une année de formation en langue française dans notre belle école située sur les bords de l’Erdre. Il fallait donc que je puisse voir cette belle université dont le jumelage n’avait pour moi que quelques visages. Et pour oser demander à un chauffeur de faire un petit détour par l’université après ma demi-finale, il me fallait gagner. Je ne crois pas aux privilèges mais la victoire introduit souvent une joie partagée qui ouvre quelques portes !
