Australian Open: You can be proud of you man...

Fernando Verdasco felt today in the Australian Open semi final.

Top seed Rafael Nadal has advanced to his first Australian Open final, defeating compatriot  6-7(4) 6-4 7-6(2) 6-7(1) 6-4 in an epic Friday’s men’s singles semifinal to set up a big match-up with second seed Roger Federer on Sunday.

That's the end of the dream for our Tecnifibre player who played a great match against world n°1.

Fernando will be for the first time of his career a top 10 player on monday.

We are proud of you man. So proud... See you soon on the court for other many victories!

BEGINNING TO A SUCCESSFUL YEAR !!!!!!

Salut,this is my first time to write in the blog and hopefully i can tell you about myself and i will be writing all my news here.Firstly happy new year to everyone,i am really excited about my first blog as it was really hard to start doing it because i was doing it with Dipika and she can't speak french and since the whole blog is in french so i had to be her french tutor as it was really good for my french to improve so i don't think that i will need to study french for a whole week :) Dipika at the beginning asked me how to start she said with hi...?hey...?and then i came up with hello and then she decided not to listen to me and i decided to start my blog with a french word :)

I am currently ranked 31 in the professional ranking and world junior champion.I started this year well as i won the british junior open under 19 which was really important to defend my title as it was really hard to do it because everyone was expecting me to win and everyone was playing against me at his best because they had nothing to loose so i was really glad to win it.Guillaume was with me in the whole tournament and he was a very good support for me and for all the tecnifibre players as he is always beside his players thanks guigui :)

A brand new start to the year

Hey guys,

Firstly a very happy new year to everyone. I am kinda excited and nervous about my first post on the blog. I hope I just reach out to u people in a way :)

Its been quite a tough process getting to start posting on the blog.I mean veryyyy tough.In the process Shorbagy became my french tutor(since the whole blog is in french). So we both decided that we finally get out of are beds and start posting.Well definitely we arnt lazy (well maybe a little) :).So we finally started to write but then we realised how do we great u guys ?with a 'hi'?with a 'hey' ?and Shorbagy comes up with a' hello'.So I plan not to listen to him(typical girl) and just greet u guys like friends:)

Its been a good start of the year for me.Reaching the finals of the BRITISH JRS at the start of the year was a good start to the season..I would have definitely wanted to win ,but went down fighting in the finals..Its my first year in the 19s so hopefully looking forward to next year.

As u know tecnifibre is been like family and as soon as i got off court after losing the finals  Gui (Guillaume) was standing rite next to me and he exactly knew what to say to make me happy. All he said was 'your PINK racquets will arrive in 4 days ' and a smile came to my face:)After that I really couldnt think of my lose and just waited for my PINK raquets to arrive..My raquets had arrived and the only thing I could think about was getting on court and playing :)

Tecnifibre player Fernando Verdasco continued his inspired run in Melbourne on Wednesday by defeating fifth seed and last year’s runner-up Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6(2), 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 at the Australian Open to reach his first Grand Slam championship semi-final.

Fernando faces world number 1 R. Nadal for a place in the final.

Timea Babos is the new sportlady of the year in Hungary, at only 16 years old. Tecnifibre player, now in the Top 10 at the ITF, has been chosen as the best in her country for the season 2008. Tecnifibre congratulates Timi for this title and wishes her the best for the new season.

Melbourne: Verdasco upsets Murray and reaches 1st Grand Slam QF!

Spanish World No. 15 and Tecnifibre player Fernando Verdasco reached his first quarter-final at a Grand Slam championships after snapping a five-match losing streak against fourth seed Andy Murray of Scotland, a pre-tournament favourite, with a 2-6, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory on the Hisense Arena at the Australian Open on Monday.

Fernando will face JW Tsonga for a place in the SFs. Fernando plays with the new  Tecnifibre T-Fight 320 V02 Max racket.

Fish fried as Baghdatis advances

Marcos Baghdatis is through to a fourth-round meeting with Novak Djokovic after accounting for American Mardy Fish in straight sets in the early hours of Saturday.

Marcos won 6/2 6/4 6/4 and will face defending champion Novak Djokovic for a place into QFs.
