Around the National High School "Senbatsu" Championships of Japan: Part 1

The weather on the opening day of the tournament was superb: 20 degrees, sunshine, blue skies and not a cloud in sight.

The ceremony took place on centre court where all 900 players taking part marched onto the stands via the court.  (click below to continue reading　続きは以下のリンクをクリック）

With all teams wearing their coloured warm up suits, the stands looked colourful, bright and neat.  The ceremony lasted over an hour after speeches by the city mayor and members of various tennis bodies in Japan.
